The PIVA VD15 is a high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 video capture card designed for gaming, live streaming, content creation and video recording. It allows an HDMI source to be displayed on a gaming monitor through the HDMI loop-out connection while simultaneously sending a capture feed to a computer through its 10Gbps USB-C data interface.

High-refresh-rate pass-through supports up to 4K at 144Hz, 1440p at 240Hz and 1080p at 360Hz, depending on the connected source, display, HDMI cables and selected video mode. This lets gamers continue playing at the supported resolution and refresh rate of their setup while streaming or recording through compatible capture software.

VRR pass-through helps the source and compatible display maintain a variable refresh rate, reducing visible screen tearing during fast-paced gameplay. The VD15 also supports professional video formats including RGB24, YUY2, NV12 and MJPEG, allowing the available capture format to be selected according to the computer, operating system and recording software.

Dedicated 3.5mm microphone and audio connections provide additional options for adding commentary, monitoring sound or connecting compatible audio equipment. The metal housing and internal aluminum heat-dissipation structure help manage heat during extended streaming and recording sessions.

IMPORTANT NOTES

The advertised 4K 144Hz, 1440p 240Hz and 1080p 360Hz figures refer to maximum HDMI pass-through modes. They do not mean that every mode can always be captured or recorded at the same resolution and frame rate.

Actual capture resolution, frame rate, color format and latency depend on the connected source, host computer, USB bandwidth, operating system, capture software and selected settings. A high-performance computer may be required for high-resolution or high-frame-rate recording.

To use high-refresh-rate pass-through, the source device, monitor and HDMI cables must all support the selected resolution, refresh rate and HDMI bandwidth. Consoles are limited to the video modes supported by the console itself.

Phones and tablets do not connect directly unless they support wired video output. A compatible USB-C-to-HDMI adapter or docking station may be required and is sold separately unless specifically listed as included. Android compatibility varies by model.

A microphone, headphones, HDMI cables, USB-C video adapters, chargers, mixing consoles and other accessories are not considered included unless explicitly stated in the package contents. Protected HDCP content may not be available for capture.
