An integrated aluminum heat-conductive layer provides a contact area between the iPad and the external cooler. The dual magnetic-ring design helps hold a compatible cooler in position without requiring a separate adhesive magnetic plate on the outside of the case.

The carbon-fiber-textured exterior provides a gaming-style finish and a more secure grip, while the hard-edge ABS construction and reinforced corners help absorb minor impacts and protect against everyday scratches and handling wear.

The case itself contains no fan, semiconductor cooling module, battery or powered component. Cooling begins only after a compatible powered magnetic cooler is installed.
