The KZ AM01 is a compact USB-C to 3.5mm portable DAC and headphone amplifier designed to provide wired audio output on compatible devices without a traditional headphone jack. Unlike basic passive adapters, it uses a dedicated digital-to-analog conversion chip together with a separate MAX97220 amplifier chip for audio decoding and headphone amplification.

The AM01 supports PCM audio decoding at up to 32-bit/384kHz when the connected device, playback application, audio file, and operating-system settings support the selected resolution. Its amplifier provides an output of 1Vrms, rated at 30mW into a 32-ohm load, and dynamically supports headphone loads of up to 600 ohms.

A signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB and dynamic range of 110dB help provide clean and detailed audio for music, gaming, movies, and everyday listening. Its wired design supports synchronized audio without the pairing and battery requirements of Bluetooth accessories.

The short 110mm cable uses a Kevlar-braided construction for improved flexibility and durability, while its compact design makes it convenient for travel and everyday use with earphones, in-ear monitors, and compatible headphones.
